II am elated that this year, I have a staff of volunteers to help me with the day-to-day duties of hosting a film festival. They are hardworking, humble and also, incredibly giving. They have some great ideas and bring an abundance of enthusiasm and energy to the table. Please take some time to stop and meet them during this year's event.

Khalil Gordon - Headshot.jpg

Khalil is a quiet, yet eccentric, young man with aspirations to become a professional writer for the animation industry. He aims to create stories that not only showcase the vast diversity of cultures within our world, but that highlight their similarities as well. He has chosen to volunteer for Art is Alive as a show of his commitment to furthering the voices of young artists and to enjoy the complimentary snacks provided. In his downtime, he enjoys listening to classic '70s hits and working on a number of different writing projects.  However, at present, he is patiently waiting for the opportunity to delve deeper into the indie filmmaking community.
